Information Management

Due to the government’s policy on streamlined operations, transparency, accountability, accuracy and reliability; as well as the rapid and constant development of information technology, I-EA-T realizes the need for adjustment in order to achieve greater operational efficiency and sustainable self-reliance. To reach such achievements, I-EA-T has devised information management policies, as follows:

1. Policy on Information Infrastructure

For external communications, I-EA-T offers a communication platform and ample information via its official website at www.ieat.go.th. Apart from links to websites of other relevant agencies – such as the Customs Department and the Department of Employment; I-EA-T website also provides online services for the application of industrial operation approval and permission. In addition, to strengthen mutual relationships and foster correct understanding with external parties, I-EA-T continuously submits performance reports to a number of institutions, as specified in its rules and regulations, in an on-time manner.

With an in-and-out control system (or data capturing) and a data processing system, I-EA-T has clearly specified the assignment of roles and responsibilities, as well as the power and authority of ICT-related personnel and agencies. Furthermore, it has established multiple levels of data security, allowing only authorized persons to access specific files or programs.
