Application for Permission to Allow Alien Craftsman
and Experts and Their Family to Live in The Kingdom
Details
Rules for consideration
1. The industrial entrepreneur and the commercial entrepreneur would be granted with benefits and rights in bringing alien including:
• a skilled worker
• an expert
• a spouse or dependent of a person under (1) or (2); into the Kingdom. The number of the aliens to be permitted and their period of residence in the Kingdom shall be at the discretion of the Board even exceeding the number or period permitted under the law on immigration Section 45 of the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand Act B.E. 2522 (1979) and its Revision
2. Subject to the law on working of aliens, if otherwise is not prescribed herein; an alien who is a skilled worker or an expert permitted to have residence in the Kingdom under section 45 shall be permitted to work in particular position as approved by the Board through the period as he or she is permitted to have residence in the Kingdom under Section 46 of the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand Act B.E. 2522 (1979) and its Revision
The submission of application for permission to allow the alien skilled craftsman, expert and their family to live and work in the Kingdom can be divided as follows:
• Request for an approval on the position and placement of craftsman and expert
• Request for bringing spouse and dependant of the craftsman or the expert to enter and live in the Kingdom
• Request for the extension of period of staying time of the craftsmen, experts and their families
• Request for the change of position of craftsmen, experts
• Request for cooperation related to visa for temporary stay of the craftsmen and their families
• Change of type of visa of the craftsmen, experts and their families
• Request for termination of the position of the alien craftsmen, experts and their families
• Request for permission to allow the alien craftsmen, experts, and their families to live in the Kingdom under the right as previously granted
• Holding position of the director of the craftsmen, experts, in the Industrial Estate
• Changing name of juristic person of limited company/ conversion into the public company
• Changing/ adding business establishment (new location)
• Adding working location of the craftsmen, experts
• Changing name/ nationality of the craftsmen, experts and their families
• Cancellation of the placement of the craftsmen, experts who are authorized
The entrepreneur in the Industrial Estate can submit application through http://e-pp.ieat.go.th; the rules shall be under the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand’s Announcement on rules in specifying the number and period of time of alien to stay in the Kingdom and the specification of position of alien who is craftsman or expert who is given permission to stay in the Kingdom, to be permitted to work in the Industrial Estate.
