2.7 Installation of Machine

Installation of Machine means the work or plan in installing machine, tool, equipment and materials necessary for the production process under the limitation of structure and design of the building as currently used so that the production would be safe and of highest efficiency.

• Enough space of corridor

• Ventilation of air and eradication of odor of smoke and toxic gas

• Emergency fire exit

• Fire prevention system and fire extinguishing equipment

• Decibel of noise from machinery

• Heat from machinery or heating source

• Appropriate light

• Appropriate prevention of electrical system

• Area or space for facilitating maintenance and repair work

• Environment as felt by the workers

• Put machinery to be near the natural light

• Arrange the large machinery to be near the entrance, exit

• Arrange the large machinery at the place where the pulley or crane can access to easily

• Arrange the cutting tool in the place where dust or spark of light cannot spread to, and it should be located near the lathe machine or drilling machine

• Arrange the tool and equipment and parts to be near each machine

• The electrical sawing base should be collected at the front of store, there should be enough space for transporting steel with the length of more than 6 meters

• The machine shall be stable and fixed at the ground.

• The controlling switch should be located at the safe place from the standing place or the place where it is safe from the hand might be accidentally moved to it; the main switch should be located in the position that is clearly seen.

• The electrical line that is joined from above the head into the base shall have distance of at least 7 feet before bending sharply at the corner, in order to run on the level line

• The filing work test should be placed to be in the location where the long piece of work can be caught without obstructing other’s work.

• The area under the desk should be left empty, and should not be the place to collecting non-used materials

• Arrange the machine as follows:

o Forklift or pulley can be accessed near to any side for the benefit in transporting repair or maintenance parts

o There is enough space surrounding the machine for repairing or providing maintenance.

o There is space for the workers to work comfortably.

o There is enough space for the movement of parts of machines.
